Water - Support Crews need to carry at least 20 litres of water for each team member

Garbage bags and toilet paper - Support Crew and teams need to be self sufficient

Torch - you’ll need a torch for setting up and moving around in the night

Sports drink - great to rehydrate trekkers and to replace lost electrolytes. It is recommended to carry sports drinks in a bottle rather than putting it in a team member's camelback

First Aid Kit - make sure you carry a first aid kit with plenty of blister and foot care products. *For first aid training course information click here

Spare Batteries - ensure you have spare batteries in varying sizes for your torch and your teams' head torches

Hot food - there’s nothing better than a hot meal or drink after walking for long periods. Discuss with your team what type of food they would like at the Checkpoint

Snacks - both salty and sugary snacks are good to keep trekkers and support crews going

Camp chairs - are a must to give your team a rest when at Checkpoints and somewhere for you to sit while waiting

Spare shoes -often a spare pair of shoes is all that is required to prevent blisters and give aching legs some relief

Shoe laces -if you don’t have them that’s when your team will break a shoelace

Spare socks - changing socks regularly will help trekkers to remain blister free

Warm clothes - it can get very cold at night so make sure you pack cold and wet weather gear for you and your team

Separate containers - it is best to separate each of your team members' gear into a separate container so that they can access them easily
